The Person Behind the Practice

Every business owner I talk to has the same question: "Where does AI actually fit in my business?" Not the hype. Not the headlines. The actual answer.

Hi, I'm Greg Arnold

My career started in the United States Navy, where mission-critical systems don't tolerate guesswork. From there, 25+ years inside nearly every department of a Fortune 500 — customer support, sales enablement, FP&A, product engineering. Lumen Technologies and comparable organizations. My career has been automating processes and building AI/ML systems.

After watching small and mid-sized businesses struggle with technology decisions they weren't equipped to make, I founded MyChiefTech. The premise was simple: the businesses that need CTO-level guidance the most are the ones that can least afford a full-time CTO.

I didn't just study AI to do this. I built GeoScored, an enterprise-grade AI application, from the ground up. 190K+ lines of production code. Nearly 4,000 commits. Shipped in under 8 weeks. Production code taught me things whitepapers never could.

I'm only able to bring that depth to growing businesses because of AI. It extends my reach in ways that weren't possible two years ago. AI enables me to help them. I enable them with AI.

The Same Way I Ran My Teams

Integrity First

I run my practice the way I ran my teams in the Navy and in the Fortune 500. If something's not working, I'll be the first one to tell you. Continuous improvement isn't a buzzword for me — it's how I've operated for 30 years.

Earn It Every Month

No long-term contracts. No lock-ins. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time. If the value isn't there, I'll tell you before you have to.

🤝

Your CTO, Not Your Consultant

I don't hand you a report and leave. I embed in your business — attending your meetings, knowing your team, owning the outcomes. That's the difference between advice and accountability.

Working Together

  • I tell you the truth If you don't need something, I'll say so. If a vendor is overselling you, I'll catch it. If your plan has a gap, you'll hear it from me — not from a failed launch.
  • I put a dollar value on everything Not "you should look into this." More like "this is costing you $2,400 a month and here's the fix." If I can't quantify it, I'll say that too.
  • I move fast I built an enterprise AI application — 190K+ lines, shipped in 8 weeks. The roadmap that takes a traditional consultant two weeks, I deliver in 48 hours. I built the tools to make that possible.
  • You own everything Every deliverable, every tool, every recommendation. If we part ways, you keep it all — plus a written transition document so whoever comes next can pick up where I left off.
  • No lock-ins I don't believe in contracts that keep people who want to leave. You stay because the value is there. The day it isn't, we talk about it like adults.
